Holistic Coaching Philosophy

Honoring the Whole Human

Genuine holistic coaching begins with practice of seeing people as whole, sovereign human beings possessing inherent human dignity. We recognize all people as sacred, sentient, rational beings with sovereignty over their own life, thoughts, and choices. Because no outside authority or coach can ever truly know what is best for another person’s unique life path, our role is never to give unsolicited advice or project our own experiences.

Embodiment of the Holistic Coach

Our holistic philosophy interwoven with ICF-accredited coach education trains you to let go of the illusion of being the "expert." Instead, you will learn to step into the role of a true Holistic Coach—holding an integrated, profoundly safe space across the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions. In this space, your clients are empowered to uncover their own deepest realizations and make sovereign discernments about which actions align with exactly who they are.

Holistic Integration of the Whole Human

Coaches often feel pressured to immediately select a hyper-specific "niche." In reality, utilizing niches in marketing strategies can be helpful for attracting aligned clients, but not are not essential for effective coaching. As the ICF affirms, a uniform set of core competencies is the true foundation of our profession, and many coaches build thriving careers working with a beautifully diverse range of clients without ever specializing. In coaching, the client is the subject matter expert on themselves, their life, and determining what is best for them while the coach is the expert on the application of the coaching process.

Coaching topics often revolve around areas related to life, mindset, health & wellness, spirituality, mental & emotional well-being, transitions, career, leadership, business, relationships, ADHD & neurodivergence, finance and more. Most of these topics are interconnected because each client is a whole person with a whole life. Their coach can not be a subject matter expert on each topic, but they can be an expert in the holistic approach to coaching to support with an integrated and and embodied approach to greater awareness and actualizing their potential.

Whether you eventually choose to focus on a specific client segment or prefer to hold space for all walks of life, the holistic approach is the essential element that brings any coaching focus to life. It facilitates the foundational, whole-person well-being required to actualize a client's true potential across both their personal and professional lives.

Guiding Principles of Holistic Coaching

Empower "the whole person" to reach their full potential and well-being in all areas of their life—both personally and professionally—by seamlessly integrating the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of being to cultivate deep purpose, human flourishing, and their unique version of a good life.

  • Transformation happens on the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical levels, taking the whole person into consideration.
  • Everything rests in a web of interconnectedness.
  • Support people in moving from coping to healing to thriving.
  • Healing happens in a loving and supportive environment not through judgment, shame or guilt.
  • Changes are made from the inside out.
  • Create well-being and fulfillment in all areas of life that are important to you.
  • Create love, safety and belonging for yourself.
  • Change, healing, transformation are a process not an event.
  • Increase awareness of mind, body and spirit.
  • Find the tools and techniques that you can enjoy and embody consistently.

Some coach training cultures adopt a corporate, performative professionalism approach that devalues and suppresses authenticity and the deeper realities of the human experience. We believe in honoring the whole person—including the authentic self and spiritual, metaphysical or humanistic values - whichever might apply to you and your worldview. Whether you are discovering your purpose, connecting with nature, or exploring your beliefs, you are welcome here. We provide a safe, diverse space where you can drop the professional mask, show up vulnerably, and do good work together in service to the highest good of everyone.
